Eleven rack Luther Perkins preset?

I am looking for a good preset that comes cool to the amp/cab sound of Luther Perkins who played guitar for Johnny Cash in the early years.

that kind of preset will depend heavily on what guitar you use. low gain presets are next to impossible to get perfect from one guitar to another.

start by looking up what rig he used, or what was commonly used for that style in that time period. use that info to build that rig.

add an eq both before and after the amp model to tweak it closer.

if you want others to help dial in a preset, they will need:
1) a clip of the music you are talking about
2) to know what type of guitar/pickups you are using
3) what type of speakers are you playing through.

anyone that helps to make a preset will need to have a very similar guitar and speakers are the results will be way off from what you want.

another idea is to contract someone like Benoni to make your preset. here's how i would approach it:

send him an audio file of you playing the exact song you like (and it must have a section of guitar only with no other instruments). he can then use ozone or a program like it to "look" at the eq setting of the original tone, then make a preset and eq it to sound just like the original. it may not be perfect because the 11R only has so much eq available, but he can get it close enough to sound right.

just a thought. that's what i would do if i needed an exact clean/low gain preset.
