Transfering files from one Pro Tools type to \"Free\"
Can I transfer (via disc) pro tools sound files from the real Pro Tools (pro) to my home computer which has Pro Tools Free. I guess the question is, "will pro tools free be able to read and play the files?"
Thanks! |

Sure, all PT systems use the Sound Designer II file format. I have moved whole sessions and/or SDII files from work to home where I use PTFree. Jazz carts are handy for large sessions.

Yeah sure you can, but you have to watch your track count. I think it's on another post somewhere in the DUC, but I believe that if you have more than 8 audio tracks on your TDM session, you lose the other ones.
