Default Have you guys checked the new Yamaha O1V96

this is a killer board, and the one thing that cought my attention is the fact that it is optimized to control Protools extensively. Check it out on the Yamaha website.

The O1V96 promises to be a really nice unit. As along time O1V user (and AW4416) it looks as though fixed the issues I had with the previous O1V. I have used a DM2000 and the O1V96 has alot of similiar features. Menu structer is much deeper but you can customize the pages and how many you want to display so your not constantly searching through crap you don't want. Very handy. And, thank GOD, better routing options. These are just two stand outs I noticed. How well it will control Pro Tools remains to be seen.

I had being looking at going to the 02R96 but this looks like a pretty good step up from my 01v hopefully for way less money. Any word on the price yet?

MSRP is set at $2499.99 (vs. 02R96, a great mixer, for $9999.99). Later (after the launch month) street prices for the O1V96 should be under 2K.
