OWC now shipping PCIe to Thunderbolt chassis

We now have another choice for these, even more affordable, from a very reliable company. OWC has now released their PCIe to Thunderbolt chassis. It's one slot, half-length, so it will be fine for HD Native or UAD cards. It's only $379. Looks cool, too.

At that price, it does make some options more feasible than with a Magma or even a Sonnet box. Dig it!
I wonder if there's any word on their Thunderbolt HDD enclosure.

Good to see this thunderbolt stuff is finally hitting the market. $379 combined with the27" imac makes a pretty attractive alternative for HD Native sytems.

So, long shot here... do you think I could use this box to go from Thunderbolt to PCI-e to my PCI-x Magma box with and old HD3 Accel rig?

Thunderbolt drives for audio playback and video playback
External USB3 drives for sound effects and other various storage

Maxed out Mac Mini, a dual monitor vid card, Intensity Shuttle and 2 OWC expansion chassis' all priced at around $2700.00. This would be for an audio post set up where an HD 2 system is giving me plenty of power. Granted...a New Mac Pro would be about the same price...but can the current MP's offer the power of the 2.6 quad core i7? And I know (possible) new MP's out next year.

Just talking this through my mind. It's sure looking like more power is going to come in smaller packages.
