Waves Authorization issue
Hi everyone,
I was wondering if anyone has ever run into any issues with iLok authorization for the Waves V8 plug-ins? I recently did a show where we got an error message saying that our Pace interlock driver was not up to date and that we needed to get the newest driver. We did that and then it would not overwrite the driver that was curently on the system because it was already up to date. We tried it several times and it never worked. The engineer loaded V8 from his USB stick and it didn't work, so we uninstalled the plug-ins and installed them from my stick and it still didn't work. We also tried both of our iLoks and neither one worked. We talked to Venue support and tried what they recommended and none of those ideas worked (trying the clear console function, uninstalling and reinstalling, downloaded the reel tape bundle (it contains the newest driver)). We booted the system into the desktop reloaded the plug-ins there to no avail. The system was 2.9.125 (or something close - 2.9.???). Please tell me someone else has had this same issue. Also, both the engineer and myself have loaded the V8 plug-ins successfully onto 4 or 5 consoles each with the same USB sticks with no problems whatsoever. Those systems were running 2.9 as well. Any info or help would be appreciated. Thanks, Brad |
