Way to delete unused Session Templates?
Hi... seems like when I delete them they just return after a few hours.
Is there any way to delete them permanently? |

Re: Way to delete unused Session Templates?
No mention of what OS the OP is using, but on macOS the default location for PT templates is /Users/[username]/Documents/Pro Tools/Session Templates/.
This path can of course be changed in the PT preferences.

Re: Way to delete unused Session Templates?
Sorry... haven't posted in a while.
PT 12.4, Windows 11, Default templates in Documents section. \Users\Administrator\Documents\Pro Tools\Session Templates They're from 2015 and I'll never use the majority of them. I simply delete them individually or delete the folders they're in. They just come back. |

Re: Way to delete unused Session Templates?
Windows>Program Files>Avid>Factory Content>Session Templates
Not at my computer, but that should be the address. I've found that if a Template is deleted from the folder in Documents, but not from Factory Content, then it automagically comes back. Also, you can't nest folders within a primary template folder, the templates just all show up as if they were in one folder.

Re: Way to delete unused Session Templates?
Brilliant! Worked like a charm. Just deleted the factory templates in the main Avid folder and they never reappeared. Thanks!
