6.9.2 upgrade problem

I just boought a new power mac G5 and a digi 002 rack.
The computer is running Tiger and the protools unit came with 6.9.
I get a [could not complete your request because Assertion in "Sys_FileLoc.cpp", in line 187] error.
I was told I need the upgrade for it to run on Tiger.
I've downloaded the 6.9.2 upgrade, but when I try to install it says I need version 6.7.
How do I solve this?

I was finally able to run the 6.9.2 after I uninstalled 6.9 and re-installed it without opening it.
but I am still getting the same error comand.
please help

Your preferences were more than likely corrupted when launching 6.9 on Tiger. Try deleting preferences as well as the other suggestions in the OS X/Pro Tools 6.x Setup & General Troubleshooting topic at the top of the PTLE Mac forum.

Dont forget, after you upgrade...you have to trash the Digi database folder and Volume folder(s) then restart and THEN launch. That's for EVERY time you so an install. I'm running LE on a G5..I installed 6.7, then 6.9, then 6.9.2 trashing and restarting inbetween and have had absolutely NO difficulty.
