Default New(ish) 11r OSX driver? (1.05)

Hey everyone. I just noticed that theres a newer driver (1.05) for Eleven Rack, dated in late October. I have been using 1.04 with my Macbook using Snow Leopard, which was dated about a month prior.

I'm just curious if anyone's already updated their drivers and if theres been any perceivable difference in performance. I often have to restart my computer in order for it to recognize my 11r, and was hoping that this new driver may alleviate that inconvenience...otherwise I might just stay with my current driver to forego having to reinstall 11r's GUI, and the ERXP, etc...

Anyone here update to the latest OSX driver?

It's only not recognized if the Mac was put to sleep at any point. Something about the USB management. It would be nice if it could be fixed somehow.

Sorry but that's not the case. My computer is set to never sleep, and sometimes it won't recognize my 11r even after a brief USB disconnection. Sometimes one USB port will work and the other won't. It seems like a pretty random thing, I've resorted to just restarting before messing around in PT to avoid the frustration.

I've seen this complaint often enough that it seems like a real driver issue, and I was hoping the latest driver addressed it. Anyone have any feedback?

I wonder if it's OS-related ... pretty sure there are similar issues with the Apogee Duet 2 on OSX Lion which doesn't have a power switch so has to be unplugged from the USB port.

I don't think it is in this case, I have other USB interfaces that work without fail. Like I said, plenty have complained about this issue on this very forum.

derker - just noticed you're on Snow Leopard. Do you know if Lion users are also experiencing similar issues related to sleeping Macs? Quite strange that drivers have been updated (on both these platforms) and the issue persists ... that's why I mentioned the OS; possibly not managing USB as expected to?! Although this doesn't explain your working interfaces!

I use Lion and experience the same thing.

See, I'm not crazy! :)

I'm no expert but I'm pretty sure its related to the 11r driver. It's always my computer that I'm restarting, never the 11r. I was really hoping they'd ironed out this kink with the most recent driver, otherwise I don't really see the need to update...?
