Default 6093 interupts (tried buffers & CPU usage) no joy!

Hi folks,

Have moved over from Logic Pro 7 and an 01X to 002 and LE. Because I was feed up with Logic crashing and the 01X knowing what to do. Today I received my 002 Factory and installed everything by the book, including the updates.

System:
Apple Power Mac dual 2.7
Tiger 10.4.2
4 gig Ram
2 x 400 GB hard drives internal
1 T1 rack firewire harddrives (250gb x 4)
1 x Wester digital.

Firewire drives are used for back up. The audio is recording to the second internal drive in the mac.

The problem:

No matter what I do I keep getting the 6093 interupts error. Have changed the buffers and the CPU usuage as well as the DAE buffer too. Have tried for hours with differing permatations. To test it I use the Demo song and then record some midi playing through an AUX with a Plug in (Virtual Instrument) on it. No matter what I try it's still doing it!

As I am sure you can imagine I am gutted. I hope that Pro Tools would be solid, but am finding it too fragile.

Please help!

Stu

Plug everything into the FRONT Firewire port of the G5.

Make the 002R the last link in the chain.

This solved it for me.

Let us know.

Also make sure all energy savers are turned off and processor performance is set to 'highest' in the options tab of the energy saver control panel.

Sadly still not working!

All settings are as per the books, updated and have done as suggested. No matter what setting I try in the playback engine, the demo song will play for a short while and then I will get the 6093 error.

Am at a complete loss! Need to get this ready as of a few days ago because of work, but am seriously behind. Ironically this is proving to be more unstable than my Logic & O1X setup. Please someone help as I am desperate.

Also, have noted alot of my plugins RMX, IVORY are missing. Have tried removing them and re-installing them, but no joy. Any ideas?

Plus any help on the play back engine is desperatly needed.

Thanks

Stu

Stu, your best bet is to call Digi tech support. They are very thorough and will get to the bottom of it.
