PT 10.2 won't clear or cut plug-in automation

Clearly, either I'm doing something really wrong, or there is a bug.

The "clear plug-in automation" is greyed out, and when I "clear All automation" everything BUT the plugin automation is set to default. I've enabled the track for writing or latching plugin automation in the automation window, but still it's greyed out. So what am I doing wrong here, somebody please help? I've done alot of googling, and no go.

Only stupid youtube videos showing how you can delete automation with the delete key.. yeah yeah... that should be pretty basic stuff to delete whatever automation lane is showing...

Sounds like a pref's bug... Try this:

Once reset it should be good to go... If it does not fix the issue please post results.

I'm sorry, I should have said that I do that on a regularly basis. And the problem persists.

Sometime it works and sometimes it doesn't.. I've tried to open different sessions, but they're all the same. I've even reinstalled Mac OS(okey, so I had some other reasons to do it, but all the same) but it still persists.

I should also tell you that it worked ok on 10.1. Maybe I should downgrade, but I got reasons not to..
