Remote control of ProTools/Control 24
I was wondering if there was a way to remotely control either ProTools or the Control 24 from another computer? I've seen the plug-in that allows the audio to stream to the remote computer, but I don't want all that. I don't need to hear any audio, seeing some meters might be nice, but again not necessary. I just want to have basic functionality, like record, play, etc. Nothing fancy. Is there some way of doing this that I'm missing?
Thanks, -Hirschi |

Re: Remote control of ProTools/Control 24
Any device that supports HUI protocol can simultaneously control Pro Tools with the Control 24 on the same computer, or any computer can be hooked up to the same router as the Control 24 but 2 computers cannot simultaneously control Pro Tools unless you do SMPTE sync or some other sync. Even still, one computer would have to be master and the other one slave or it would be messy indeed. This little device: http://www.google.com/url?sa=U&start...anzPort&e=9797 on HUI mode would work. Hope that helps.
