DAE error 9131... HELP!!!
Hi, I have an iBook G4, 768MB RAM, 30GB, and an external HardDrive from LaCie 160GB conected through Firewire, with ProTools LE 6.4 (MBox) everything work perfect, except that when I launch a Session from the external HardDrive, it open very well with all the tks and audio in there, but when I hit play, it says that i have DAE error 9131, it also happened when I hit Record...
All my sessions are in the External HardDrive, and as Digidesign recommend to use another drive than the computer's one I'm doing it, but that error just keep bothering me at all!!! I've search in the Webpage for the error code and says that "for ProTools 6.1" I need to format my External HD, and allready done it, didn't work at all... Please I need HELP in this.... Could anyone help me???? |

Re: DAE error 9131... HELP!!!
1. Is this a FW400 or FW800 drive? FW800 drives are not supported and could cause this error, as could FW400 drives connected to the FW800 port. 2. Which OS version are you on? If it's 10.3.3, some users have reported problems with LaCie drives and OS 10.3.3. Updating to 10.3.4 fixed the problem. A few users have reported that partitioning large drives into 2 partitions has solved this error for them. I'm assuming you used the Apple Disk Utility to format this drive, yes? |

Re: DAE error 9131... HELP!!!
Have you tried partitioning the disk?
You should also make sure that, in Preferences>Operations that Open Ended Record Allocation is limited, rather than using all available space. |
