Protools 2018.10 and Tascam US2400

I have a Tascam US2400 control surface and im running protools 2018.10 on a mac mini 2012 OSX High Sierra, it works however the faders do not respond to there positions correctly and they do not shut down to the bottom as they should. does anyone know what could be the problem? everything else works as it should.
