Knob Module Parameter in Layout Mode

ok... todays bit of frustration.... have searched the inter webs before coming here as well as pulled out hair sitting over the desk, but came up lacking... heres the deal...

the mixer i support is switching between layouts and is getting frustrated that every time he does, the knob module defaults to the sends. he doesn't want to work with expand zones and its beating him up pretty badly having to keep cycling back to whatever parameter he was on with the previous layout.

The Functions are stored with the Layouts so once he's in the Function he wants the most save the Layout again.

I need to test this on Monday, but if you set layouts to auto store when something has changed then it might save the last known state each time.

I tested this and it doesn't auto store the function change unfortunately. I will change this in the next release so it does (Only if the pref is set to auto store layouts over the top)

would it be possible to change it to have the parameter just stay on whatever is selected before switching? i can see that being a pretty popular function(here at least!). the auto save concept would be a great first step though. thanks for checking.

I'm not sure I understand It would stay on whatever was selected (until a layout recall) which then would save it (it needs to be saved at some point otherwise how do we get it back) or

Are you saying that you want to functions to stay on whatever and remember it if that same track is in a different layout ?

apologies.... upon re-reading that i can see it was unclear...

yes, it would be pretty slick if the knobs parameters would stay on whatever you had it on when switching between different layouts.....(i.e.-EQ is up on Layout "A" and when you switch to Layout "B" it remained on EQ other than defaulting to whatever you may have had up when creating said Layout...).... much like my other question about Workstations following Layouts, I'm trying as much as possible to save button pushes!!

This is how it used to be before being asked to save the state by many users, Sounds like another damm preference ;-)
