TL spaces verb
Has anyone here purchased TL spaces? is it all that?
I just found that the Eventide reverb TDM does not at all play nice with 8.03cs2. Total pile of crap. so does anyone have anything good to say about TL spaces? Or for that matter is your Eventide reverb working nice? |

Re: TL spaces verb
I guess u've missed most of the consensus on TL SPACE but it is a favorite; now granted, it can be a Hog on DSP cards, but it is definitely '1' of the best verbs(convolutions) there is... Plus the fact u can add Acousticas|Bricasti & other IR libraries etc...
I can't speak on the Eventide plug any; I have a rack H3000 @ both my spots so I have never tried the plug...

Re: TL spaces verb
I have TL Space, the Eventide, Revibe, and well....EVERY plugin you can think of :) When it comes to a REAL sounding reverb that emulates a natural space, TL Space is where I live. I used to own the Sony DRE777 which could hold ONE sample at a time and was a single stereo processor for ooooh what was it, $10k? TL SPACE is every bit the same, will handle far more (depending upon your DSP available), sounds amazing, and is only $1,000. BUT remember this is an acoustics emulation reverb, NOT a synthesized reverb---so to say that TL SPACE is better just isn't accurate or true, they are quite different. I don't always use TL SPACE..... I really like REVIBE and use it often, but for my GO-TO verb on choir (which is a focus of what I record) or for a drum "room sound", it's TL SPACE.
I normally don't do this---but in this case, I will.... for anyone here using TL Space or those getting into it, check this out..it's a must have: http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/Impulsive |

Re: TL spaces verb
Ok
Not sure I can swing the 900.00 for the TDM but do feel i would get good results from the RTAS version? |

Re: TL spaces verb
This is one of the few plugins that are IDENTICAL between the RTAS and TDM in terms of sonic fidelity PROVIDING that you're using the TRUE STEREO mode. I have noticed minor differences in non true-stereo, but not enough to take away from the fact it's still a great reverb.

Re: TL spaces verb
Ok ill go to sweetwater and grab it. Im in Nashville today but ill grab it when i get back to Seattle tomorow.
The eventide reverb goes into a full feed-back loop when inserted into a aux channel. It only goes away when you change the input to anything and then back. As well the reverb seems to totally tax the system. When I play something through it, It is like 1 TO 1.5 seconds behind and then when i stop the playback it waits a moment then spits out a bunch of verb noise. i run Oxford, altverb, Ir1 waves verbs with no problems every day.
