Default problem recording MIDI to audio on mbox

hi,
I have a problem recording midi from my synth (korg ms2000) to audio. I have the midiconnected to my soundblaster port, and have no trouble playing back the recrded data through the mbox, but when i try to bounce the midi (analog out 1+2), it records an empty track, despite the fact that there is sound coming out of analog 1+2 which i can hear. I'd be grateful for any help
