Default New Final Cut Pro X! Total redesign!

Hey guys, this was just presented at NAB tonight. This is a whole new product, incredible new features, and the amazing thing is, it's going to be only $299! Available in June, from the App store.

Until it's up on the Apple site, the most details are on this guys Twitter site, who posted as the presentation was going on:

http://twitter.com/robimbs

I'd really like to get some experienced users' feedback on this, particularly as it might apply to post.

EDIT: This is probably a better summary:

Anyone know what "audio cleanup on ingest" means?

The Twitter guy I linked to mentioned noise/hum cleanup when posting about that feature. Of course this can be done afterwards in post, but I could see that being a nice feature for a lot of people.

Pretty soon it'll edit for you, make coffee in the morning and remind you to call your mother!

Wonder if it fixes the TC related bugs with how it handles audio...

I really wish PT would move ahead in terms of post-features to keep up with FCP and MC.

If this continues people will start to move from PT to MC or FCP to edit audio.
Bins, clip-editor, sequence-handling, clip based RTAS etc. etc. it´s all there. Conforming, waveform based syncing, meta-data handling, all the things that drive us nuts in PT can be had for less $$ in MC.

MC just needs to introduce sample-based editing and some other things and I´ll be switching over to MC and wave good bye to recutting.

Want to wait another 12 years for bins? The development of bins in PT has been going on for longer than the entire product lifespan incl. beta-phase of AudioVision.

Regarding the FC"P" announcement and new price tag:

Mentally prepare for even more amateur users giving you OMFs full of "cleaned up audio" from FCP, mixed frame-rates, mixed resolutions, no idea how to log media when it comes in, making any auto-conforming impossible.

With this new version it can only get worse, I think.
