Pro Tools 8 ......plugin activation

I just purchased a used digi 003 w/ilok, but had to upgrade to Pro Tools 8 because version 7.3 wasn't compatible with my macbook pro (intel).

I installed pro tools software and when i try to run program it prompts me to insert licence card... to activate plugins.

Can anyone explain this process to me, step by step.

i went to ilok.com, but says the ilok is registered to original owner and i can't use it on my account...how do i erase ilok or transfer ownership so i can use it.

Bottom line i want to use plugins that came with the software i just purchased, how do i activate it...there are no prompts for me to use activation code, just say's insert license card.

Did he just give u his ilok or something?... really that should have been done when he sold u the unit; all should have been transferred to u upon sale of the unit, etc. & u cannot do anything until he transfers all to ur ilok or just transfer period... its $25 per license so u should make him just give u the ilok...

Also, there are some optional plugins on the install disc that are not free. Its possible these are not authorized and you would need to go delete them from the plugins folder(like the mp3 option). If you just checked everything during the install, there could be a few. When you open PT, which ones are asking for authorization?
