You know what would be even better? For all the idiotic software companies to realise that pro studios and pro users with the budget will always BUY the software and that

1 cracked-software-user IS NOT EQUAL to 1 lost sale!

Probably more than 98% of the time, cracked release users wouldnt even have the money/budget to buy the software/plugin in the first place, and even a lot of them just use it for learning and artistic creation until they save enough to buy the software in question. So why is everyone so eager in stopping them? Does it make companies sleep better at night? it's just stupid.

What do they want to do? Stop broke artists from using quality software? Yeah you can argue about using open source options like Ardour and free plugins but that's gonna handicap their future for not using industry tools right from the start - and we all know that, cmon. We're Pro Tools users.....

Just because we have the money to buy the tools, that means we deserve more opportunities than the little kid in Ohio who actually knows his stuff and sounds better than most you guys, but despite dreaming of being a big rockstar producer, he barely has means to buy the hardware, let alone software?

iLoks are a product of a selfish and greedy attitude. Anyone owns an audio software company? Bring me a company profit analysis for revenue before and after using iLok, that shows any significant income increase, and I'll shut up!

But there isn't any... And you know it.
