USB Echo ??
I have an interesting problem that seems to be with the system as opposed to being pro-tools specific. I am getting an echo like effect when I'm using a USB audio interface on a Windows 10 based computer. First noticed when using a Soundcraft ui24r and pro-tools . Then I tried an older Tascam 16/24 and got the same result. I tried this with pro-tools 12 and a video game and got the same thing. Then I just tried the built in RealTek sound card that came with the computer and it isn't happening with it. I've never heard of this before. All I can think of is that there are somehow multiple USB channel paths defined with different latency?? Any ideas ??

Re: USB Echo ??
You are probably hearing the sound directly from the mixer AND from Pro Tools. The amount of delay/latency will change with the Playback Buffer setting. Either mute the track you are recording to(it still records), or make sure the channel on the mixer feeds Pro Tools ONLY and doesn't also feed the main outputs
