Default Please help me, I might have made a big mistake

I am sorry if you have all heard this question before, but I just bought a used un registered digi001, I have a pentium 4 2ghz machine with 512 mem and 80 gig hd, I have disabled my network card, and I still get that pesky error message -9093 Operating systme held off interupts for too long if this occurs try increasing the buffer size in the h/w buffer size. I have done this repeatedly, I have stripped my system of any running application, and tried systimatically disabling everything I could think of that would conflict. I am running Protools le version 5.1.0.234. this is really upsetting, I had this system built specifically to run digi, it took me a year and a half to afford the software after making the pc purchase. I really need help....bad. if someone would be kind enough to e-mail me directly that would be great!
Thanks, and sorry to be a newbie with a wine!

A newbie with WINE is always welcome.. it's the ones with a WHINE that we hate

Can you check your IRQ assignments in your Device Manager and share them with us?

Start->Settings->Control Panel->System

or

Right click on My Computer on your desktop and select "Properties"

Click on the "Hardware" tab.

Click on the "Device Manager" button.

Select the menu option: View->Resources by connection

Click the plus symbol next to IRQ.

If I posted my 'phone number I wouldn't get any sleep.

Did you find Device Manager? Have you looked in the View menu for an item named Resources by connection?

No, I assumed you were using XP.. my bad.

Perhaps someone with 98SE installed can lead you to Device Manager.

In the meantime.. try putting the 001 PCI card in a different slot and see if that helps.
