Kernel Panic / Anyone using mbox/mini with new imac?
While I know this machine (new 24" Imac, 2.4ghz) is not supported yet....but it seems I can't even plug the mbox mini in the usb port without getting the grey curtain freeze and a restart message....looked around but haven't seen any fixes yet....has anyone cracked this?

What version of Pro Tools are you trying to run on it, you need at least 7.1.1 for intel mac support.

I and several other people have the same problems but with MacbookPro. It appears there's a problem with 10.4.10 but there's no official word from Digi yet. Seems we'll have to wait for a PT or an OS X update to fix the problem. In the meantime, I suggest you to send your crash report to Digi tech Support.

Weird...because I was using a regular macbook with this system and 10.4.10 without any problems.....

Can everyone who is experiencing this please let us know your exactly Mac model?
We believe this is specific to certain models, but need more data to be sure.

my mac is a :
macbook pro 15'' 2.2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo memory 2Go 667 MHz DDR2 using Mac OS X 10.4.10 and Mbox 2 mini tell me if you need something else... hope this will be fix soon

As noted above, 24" imac 2.4 intel (latest version) OS 10.4.10, PT 7.3, Mbox2 mini.
