Default OMM.DLL could not be found (-18)

Hi,

Since I 've installed Evolution drivers in order to use a M-audio keyboard, I have trouble with ProTools.

Of course I've uninstalled those drivers; but still...

On launching ProTools I've got the following message :
__________________________________________________ _________________________________________________
The application "ProTools®5.1.3" could not be opened because "OMM.DLL" could not be found (-18).
__________________________________________________ _________________________________________________

Trashing the pref file doesn't change anything...and strangely, after 2 or 3 restart, it works!??! Then the next day the problem comes back...

Any idea? Help please.

My config : Powermac G4 750 Mhz 512MB Ram, OS 9,2,2, ProTools 5.1.3.cs11, OMS with MOTU MTP AV for MIDI/sync

Thx

In Pro Tools 5.1.3, OMM.dll (along with OMF.dll) is part of Digitranslator 2.0. Make sure that the version of Pro Tools being launched is the one that lives in the Digidesign/Pro Tools folder. Launching by double-clicking on a session, or from an alias, may be launching the wrong version of Pro Tools.

sounds like you may have Digitranslater in your plugins folder (do you own it or was it running as a demo at somepoint and run out of demo time?) remove it from your plugins folder ...

hope this helps ...

peace john
