Hide Mix - Show Edit Weird Behavior?

I noticed that if I open a session and have the mix window open then click Hide Mix, PTLE will attempt to shut down. I'm sure in 5.1.1 that this would have resulted in opening the edit window. To get around this you just have to Show Edit before you ever use the Hide Mix button. No big deal but I don't think it should try to close PT.

actually, i experienced this behavior in 5.1.1. if you tell protools to hide the form that is visible, and there are no other (mdichild) forms to display, protools assumes that you want to close the program entirely. i have mostly adapted to this behavior, as i no longer tell protools to "hide" the form i don't want to see. instead, i tell it to "show" the form i do want to see. see?

what i do in a session is, maximize the window (either edit or mix window, it will maximize both), and use control +/= (left of backspace) to toggle between the two windows. that way your window is at its biggest, and going between them is a keyboard stoke away..

You have to have at least one window open at all times or the session tries to close down. This happened in 5.1 as well. I keep them both open, but postion them so that I can click on an edge of either window to go back and forth.
