Firewire 800 vs. 400
What do you guys think of using Firewire 400 vs. 800 for recording purposes? Is 400 more stable?

Re: Firewire 800 vs. 400
I haven't noticed much of a difference myself. Both seemed to work equally well. The hard part is trying to use them with MOJO. I still haven't been able to find an 800 card that works with the system I use. But during the time I could use it is was nice.

I also haven't noticed a difference. Just make sure you're not plugged into the front of your Mac. It's much slower.

Re: Firewire 800 vs. 400
I use a FW 400 daily to mix 90+ tracks with tons 'o plug-ins (in combination with a Mojo). Never a hiccup (knock wood ).
