hey KUBA! did YOU do that??? that film kick *****. the first time i saw it in ANNECY, i thought, oh jeez, another, stupid "sick and twisted" 3D film, i hate these things, so childish. but no, as it prgressed, i couldn't believe it. really shocking the first time! the visual design is fantastic, and so is the sound as well as the "idea". and that "MACHINE" was awesome! the one shot that killed me -- especially because the screen at ANNECY is so GIGANTIC (1000 seat theater) -- was the tracking shot with the fat man posing in his dance move with teh soldier pictures behind him. i saw it again at FANOTCHE in Switzerland.

Congrats Kuba!

I saw it at the 06 Ottawa International Animation festival as was blown away, both in the sound and the visuals. Actually I thought it had the best sound of any film there this year, but of course I was surrounded by a bunch of animators who all looked at me funny when I mentioned sound

No I know, that perhaps I should send it to both CAS and MPSE competitions; why I did not do it, I don't know...

Belive me, from central-european point of view it is a very big success...

There was a short animation entitled "The Cathedral", which had an Oscar nomination in 2003 - this is the movie from the same man...
unfortunately he/we did not receive the statuette (the winner was "The Chub Chubs"), but that nomination itself was the huge success for us...
