On my C24, I keep getting a message saying that it went offline and that PT is attemtping to reestablish communcications with the controller. Normally I can just click ok and it is fine. Sometimes I don't even get to the ok button before PT reestablishes communication with it.

Any idea why? I was dumping some stuff to PT today and it just stopped recording because the controller lost communications.

PT 6.2
os 10.2
G5 (dual)

Thanks

Mack

Sometimes my C24 goes offline when there is much network activity going on. I have the C24 connected to a hub with another Mac and a PC on the same hub. When transferring large files between the PC and the Mac, the C24 sometimes goes offline, probably because the file transfer takes most of the available bandwidth.

Digi tech support recommended against using a hub, though obviously it works. I got a second network card instead, and the networks get cranky. I had to bridge the two networks. Then upon shutting off pc and c24, it did the offline not communicating thing (and worse, it sometimes wouldn't even recognize the c24 at all), I uninstalled everything and when I got it back communicating, it didn't need the bridging. For a day or so, then it bombed, and I've had it bridged ever since. Very quirky
