Default Help needed from I/O guru\'s

Hello,

I am all of the sudden unable to get signal from the rosetta in through s/pdif in the 001. It feels like aan I/O setup issue but i've double checked everything.

It was working fine and then after installing reason 2.0, I noticed that when I opened pro tools, it said my i/o had changed.

Anyhow, anyone have any clues? meters on rosetta showing signal, digitest ok, now what???

any help or reference to threads appreciated...

I dunno. When I work in Reason and then try load up LE to import the file, LE stops during the load and I get the error message that the "hardware is being used by another program" and it closes out. Since you will need Rewire2 for these two platforms to work together I would be suspicious about using the 001 hardware. What patch are you referring to?

Hey Bluesdude,

I'm referring to refuse but that's not the issue really. What I was explaining occurs when Pro Tools is running alone.

thanks

I'm not sure but make sure Reason is completely closed and any other Reason stuff like the pdf manual etc. Go to the finder and be sure. Then try open Pro Tools. Also look in the prefs for both and check the settings. Don't try to use the 001 card to run Reason. Let it go on the built in Mac for now. Rewire2 is coming out late 2003 for Protools/Reason integration.S'posedly will allow seamless interfacing of both patforms etc etc. I can't wait!! Good luck.

Bluesdude,

I am using the patch to allow reason to use the 001 card. that works fine. are you saying that this could have inadvertantly f'd things up?

that happens to me as well when I use the 001's ASIO driver to use with Ableton Live. I would settle with Sound Manager but I like to record audio into Live just as I would in ProTools, this the Direct I/O appears and all works great in Live. However, when I go back to ProTools, my I/O setup is all screwed up, things are disabled, my Spdif inputs are wacked, etc. Even trashing the DigiSetup preference file and cicking on Use Defaults doesn't help. Strange....
