Eucontrol 3.2 for pro tools 11.3?

Hi, I currently have pro tools 11.0.2 running on OS X yosemite macbook pro. I want to upgrade to pro tools 11.3.....do I need to install Eucontrol 3.2 version for that?

Hi and Welcome to the Community

If you want to use any PT11 version over 11.1.3 you need to update Eucon to the latest 3.2.1 or 3.2 but as 3.2.1 is the latest and thats what I would run

PT 11.3 needs atleast 3.2 to work so get the lastest.

We have updated from 3.1.3 to the 3.2.1 version of Eucon and it works much better and connects really fast now.

Make sure you Uninstall the older eucon correctly as per Avids guideline before you update to the new version as there are files that need to be deleted first.

So you may find strange behavior until the driver is upgraded.

Thanks so much for replying. Yea I guess I should've never upgraded to Yosemite, my pro tools is backfiring all the time. Should I keep the version I have for now and update to pro tools 11.3 later, once Yosemite is compatible?

PT11.3 is the only version supportted with Yosemite so if you have YO you should most definitely update to 11.3 and Eucon 3.2.1

We have that combo working 99.99.99.99.9999999% fine

If you want to have PT11 working on YO then its a no brainer to get that working first by updating to 11.3 and regarding the Eucon, try to install 3.2.1 (which works great) here and if you have issues it will be sorted by the next eucon release and then you can atleast work with PT in the meantime if for some weird reason your Eucon would behave weirdly.

Atleast you can work with PT11 in Yosemite on 11.3 which should be the most important thing for now. The Eucon is secondary for now if your PT11 keep messing up on 11.0.2

Regarding older versions of Eucon I can't say as we save all the eucon installers and PT installers on an extra drive for these kind of problems but i doubt installing older eucon versions would help.

Update PT11 to the latest as its Yosemite supported qnd wait with Eucon of it doesn't work after you tried to install ot

Yes thats true. We download every new version and keep them on a separate drive away from the studio so I didn't even look in the account until now

Still don't think you should install any version lower than the latest Eucon if you aren't going to downgrade your OS system to ML so as I said, try the PT11 11.3 version for Yosemite and aee if the new Eucon driver works, it works here so ai think you should be able to get it working aswell

Kyle at Euphonix says the driver for EuCon needs to be upgraded to work properly with Yosemite. While I'm happy to see some success with current drivers, keep an eye out for the update.
