Low Latency Monitoring is very unneessary feature, just turn it off.

Should it not be labeled low latency playback monitoring?
It is doing exactly what it is designed, and documented, to do. Disabling software monitoring so that hardware monitoring can be used to input monitor live input tracks. It’s that simple. If you want to use hardware monitoring it can be a nice workflow approach, if you don’t then don’t use it. All explained in the Pro Tools Reference Guide, but complicated by multiple references to low latency monitoring for HD Native vs. CoreAudio/ASIO interfaces… make sure you are reading the right section.

Thanks ! That makes sense. I will put in a feature request to address the confusing label. Maybe not to vets but new users for sure.
