Logic on HD Hardware
I have been using Logic Audio for the past 5 years now for tv and radio commercials and have recently bought the HD2 with the promise of a more stable and superior system.
However, as I'm always being asked to pull up old projects for a minus 1 or separate parts or whatever, it's proving to be impossible as the DAE driver doesn't recognise any of my old mixer settings or exs24 or VST pluggins. Is this just the way it is until I start new projects or is there some way of recalling old settings? I have the esb and pthd software (which works fine - just not with my old stuff). It's a real pain. Please help.

Re: Logic on HD Hardware
That sounds odd to me.
You should try posting this query on the [email protected] mail list, too (it's a list for people running logic on TDM systems, and someone there might have an idea for you). Subscribe through your yahoo account if you have one, or send a blank email to [email protected]. Lee Blaske |

Re: Logic on HD Hardware
k-w,
presuming that you were previously using an ASIO-device: 1) a) open a song that was previously ASIO, b) save as "project whatever update", 2) go to 'audio configuration'-window (under 'audio'-menu), 3) select ASIO driver, 4) copy, 5) select DTDM driver, 6) paste..... now wait a few breaths, especially if you're using any waves plug-ins..... 7) go to the audio environment, select all ASIO-objects (tracks, busses, etc), 8) with all of these objects selected, change *their* drivers simultaneously to DAE, 9) create a new DAE stereo-aux bus, insert the ESB and -within it- select which DAE outputs through which yer gonna monitor any Native tracks. best, dt / s-c >The audio configuration window, where I was tipped to cut and paste >the settings, tells me, when I try to do the pasting, "no >configurations for DAE" have you seen DAE load at Logic's start-up? if not: you gotta select it in the audio 'hardware and drivers' window, so logic knows whichall drivers you're using..... anyway, DAE plays through DTDM, so..... see above. |

Re: Logic on HD Hardware
please igonore the bottom of my previous post!
(it came from somewhere else.....) lee: there's nothing strange about that; logic tdm requires that barely documented massaging --- it will *not* automatically copy/paste native VST plugs/settings into the new tdm environment; in other words, one cannot (currently) merely 'switch' drivers. (pls forgive me any mis-terminologies, here). dt / splattercell |
