Strange Playback/Record Audio Situation - Need Help Please

I've got an instrument track with Xpand on it (bass) bussed to an audio track. The instrument track has the bass part in MIDI. There is some pitch bend on it. Something strange is happenning I can't figure out.

I'ts playing double notes (ghost notes?) at times. Sometimes it doesn't, it plays normal.

Sometimes the audio and instrument tracks and levels say zero (with no sound) while the midi output level at the top of the instrument track is reading the part. This happens just for a couple measures.

I can't figure out if it's something I did to the midi whil shifting notes or if it's a hardware issue. It did also cut out before I modified/shifted the track info.

I just upgraded to 2G RAM. Playback is set to 256 Level 2 and I have experimented with that as well.

Can you view the MIDI track at it's largest setting and watch the transport as it hits each MIDI note to be sure it's triggering properly?

I'll check it this evening. If I'm not mistaken, I think the transport viw kind of stutters.

Any advice on how to monitor it and check triggering?

When you say largest setting are you refering to vertical?
