Mac only plug-ins
Everybody seem to agree that, if PCs are apparently running more plugs than Macs, the Macs have a lot more plugs available for Mac OS only.
How many of them ? I think Analog channel is Mac only, a few BF too. Anyone ? Aloha

There's 102 plug-ins or plug-in packs listed on the digidesign products page.
There's only 54 listed as both Mac and PC compatable. The one thing that interests me is one of the bomb factory plug-ins that's not listed as either mac only or mac/pc compatable : "Essential Clip Remover" I can't find any info on the bombfactory site but it's listed as $99 on the digidesign products page.

I bought my Digi001 some years ago to get platform compability, therefor it's a BIG problemo that there are so few plugins that works on the whole of the Pro Tools product-line. Doing a lot of Audiosuite transforming, before you end your session and going on, is a waste of time and space. Going from one platform to the other, you basically have to go for...
... DigiRack, Bomb factory, Waves and Sonic TimeWorks. This is not a Digi001 Mac/PC issue, this includes Digi002, Mix and HD as well. Many newcombers avoid this problem by going straight to Emagic. An other important issue is the pricing of plugins that differs over 200 USD for an GNB/Platinum upgrade between the US and Europe. If you want people to USE your platform, you gotta get a grip Digi!!!

VST is even worse... there are THOUSANDS of plug-ins that are only available for one platform or the other.

... I always tend to forget the Focusrite d2/d3 and the GRM classical tools, that also are available on both platforms...
