GPU Core# & Pro Tools Studio
Hi everyone.
Time to upgrade my MacBook Pro workhorse. (Late 2012 model 15.4 inch MacBook Pro 2.3 GHz Quad-core Intel I7 with 16 Gig Ram) Am leaning towards the Mac Studio. Unfortunately I do not have a good understanding the role of GPU cores play in the operation of Pro Tools… Likely only audio at this point… usually use Adobe Premier or Final Cut for video projects. Thanks for any insight on this… Sparky |

Re: GPU Core# & Pro Tools Studio
GPU cores are not going to be too relevant to Pro Tools. The larger memory configs of a Studio Ultra might well be it's main selling point for Pro Tools use.

Re: GPU Core# & Pro Tools Studio
Thanks for the quick reply Darryl.
I think the Ultra may be a little out of my price range… but now thinking of the 64 GB unified ram… I suspect this new machine will be a tad faster than my existing setup… Sparky |
