Couldnt open your pic at work as due to internet restrictions, from what you have put as your spec you are using windows 8 and avid do not support Pro Tools on windows 8 so thats probaly your issue

But wait, there's more! Your system has 4GB of RAM? That's barely enough to run Windows, plus Pro Tools, so there is nothing left over(for RAM) to caching. Is Disk Playback Cache Size should be set to the lowest number(256meg) and have you trashed prefs? Trashing Pro Tools does no good as most of us make a living with it(or at least a lot of music)

When you click on Pro Tools hold down the "N" key until your playback engine window pops up... turn OFF disk caching, lower your DAE buffer and click OK.... It should load from there.

Pro Tools is the industry standard for professional DAW's... Its not the software, its you.
