12.3HD HEAT Pre/Post Bug?
Hi guys, I just wanted to ask you if anyone can confirm this behavior or if it´s me who is missing something?
In the HEAT manual it reads -HEAT processing is Pre Inserts when the PRE button is lit. Pre is enabled by default- BUT if I open a new session/existing session without HEAT enabled and I go to enable HEAT it appears on every channel WITHOUT the Pre button lit. Therefor I would assume it´s in Post mode then, right? There ain´t no bypass activated or any other setting applied, it´s just HEAT opening as default. According to the manual it should be in Pre mode by default. So is this a bug, wrong information in the manual or am I missing something? Thanks in advance. |

Re: 12.3HD HEAT Pre/Post Bug?
I can confirm this behavior on existing session. It's not a GUI glitch either since it takes a while for PT to switch from post to pre. I don't use HEAT normally, so I can't tell if this is a bug or wrong info in the manual.
I'll ask around.

Re: 12.3HD HEAT Pre/Post Bug?
I'm on PTHD 10.3.10 & HEAT does the same thing here. New channels are set to 'post'. I asked Dave about any possible diff between pre & post, he said it's very negligible and not to be concerned about it…..

Re: 12.3HD HEAT Pre/Post Bug?
I always use it in pre mode. When first instantiated it's always in post.
Bypass is global in the side of the mixer window where the drive & tone knobs are.

This is something I didn't realise for awhile! Now I mostly have it set to PRE.

Re: 12.3HD HEAT Pre/Post Bug?
Just reminder, Heat in Pre will render into the files when doing "Track commit/freeze" if you want to exchange multi-track session to pt vanillais the way to go, if not i prefer Post :)
