Default Pro Tools 9.0.0 work with Apogee Rosetta 800 directly?

Hey, my Digi002 controller interface is not working and I need to get this working to finish a project. Is it possible to hook up the Apogee Rosetta 800 to a stock Mac Pro1,1 (which has digital I/O I think - I dunno, I just got this computer) and use it with Pro Tools 9, bypassing the Digi002?

If so, what are the appropriate settings for Pro Tools? Thank you very much.

OS 10.6.6
MacPro1,1 (quad core, about 2007)
Pro Tools 9.0.0

Yes. If you have the FireWire card for the Rosetta.

Thanks. There's no way to do it via ADAT (Toslink)?

What should the Pro Tools settings be if I am using the Rosetta 800 via firewire?

Thank you very much.

I thought I'd post this on here in case someone else wants to know this later on. The Mac Pro optical is SPDIF and the 800 is ADAT so you cannot connect like that. It will work with protools 9 with a Firewire card or Symphony card.

Lemme know if you know the appropriate settings for Pro Tools 9, and also, whether it will accommodate two Rosetta 800s. Thank you very much.

Yo, Ken, no, it will not accommodate more than one Apogee Rosetta with a firewire card. To do this, you would need to get a Symphony I/O and the Symphony PCIe card.

Right now, Pro Tools keeps giving me a dialogue box that says that it ______ the interface...I can't remember the exact language. Then it shuts down. It cannot configure the interface somehow.

What is the proper setting to use an Apogee Rosetta 800 with a firewire card?
