Hi

I am getting an error message when unzipping the Windows installer as follows:

K:\Pro Tools Installation\Pro_Tools_2024.3.0_Win.zip: Checksum error in K:\Pro Tools Installation\Pro_Tools_2024.3.0_Win\Pro Tools\Documentation\Pro Tools Reference Guide.pdf. The file is corrupt

I will try to install it and hopefully just need to download the Reference Guide and put in the correct folder but thought I would mention it.

Extracted fine here. Try loading it on the down one more time and "Extract Here".

With me, pro tools just crashes when done loading on the main start up.
I didn't have no problems with the previous version?

What happened???

Yes, also extracted fine here too in Win 11 - their installer for the previous version was busted, but this one okay here.

Incidentally, bug PT-313812 is also fixed on Windows as well as Mac here - drag and drop from the clip bin now working again.

Now that Avid have turned their attention to Midi, two requests here:

1. A midi transformer plugin that can switch CCs, restrict note or pitch values etc. IMO this utility would be far more useful than all the first suite of midi plugins combined.

2. Please please please let us control midi CCs over EuCon. Still Cubase is the only DAW that allows this.

Move back a few posts - almsot certainly a plugin scan. I posted some instructions there to get up and running again fairly quickly.

If it is not the plugin scan... Standard troubleshooting steps are described under "help us help you" up the top of every DUC web page. Always start with trashing prefs and always suspect plugin compatibility problems.

If you need more help here please create your own new thread, provide the expected systems info, and describe the results of that troubleshooting.

If you don't want to or don't have time to do that you can reinstall the previous version or restore from backups.

same problem here, PT crashes loading plugins... "Elastic Audio.aaxplugin"

on every rescan it's a different one...

I’ve only quickly tested on my home laptop rig (M1 Max - running latest Ventura), and I was getting crash whilst scanning the Elastica Audio.aax - but I’ve seemingly traced it to Addictive Drums being the problem plug-in, and once that was removed, it scanned fine.

Often it is the plugin AFTER the displayed one that causes the crash in my experience.

Spot on Guy......

Those with the issue.... can you move the plugin folder out to the desktop and launch and if it does then there is def a plug-in combat issue going on with your system.
