PT 8.1 cs2 doesn't locate my expansion chassis's hardware

Which chassis? which computer? what else is connected to the computer?

Was it working fine before 8.1 cs2? which version was that?

I have gotten this on my latest HD buildout. #1 - delete all preferences/databases, etc. with the pref/database app. Reboot.

If that doesn't work, you will need to go to stage 2. #2 - deinstall and reinstall PT.

If you're still having problems like I am, you will need to jump straight to defcon4. Burning your hard drive and starting over. I'm procrastinating on this and dealing with BS quits & stuff while waiting for a clear couple of days to start over....

Try booting the computer first without the chassis powered up. Then, once you get the desktop, turn on the chassis, wait ten seconds, and then reboot.

See if that helps.

Tried reinstalled PT: NOTHING
Tried reinstalled OSX: NOTHING!!!!

I know for suere that my magma is supported...

Hi,

Expansion chassis HD5? which one is this? whats the model number? only a few chassis are qualified to work on snow leopard with PT 8.1

I have a PT HD5 installed on it...I spoke to someone at AVID that
told me that is one of the only two models supported by PT 8.1

Hi,

Which chassis model is it?

How many PCI slots does it have and what connection to the computer is it? the exact model will help.

Once you referred to it as Digidesign chassis!! and once a Magma one! Digi have made some of their own and Magma have made some for Digi and Magma also make their own. lots of chassis out there but only a few will work.

I reached to make the system work for 10 minutes again after moving pcie on the mac to slot 2 and back to slot 1 again...
but only for few minutes that a BOMB comes again...!!!!!!
After that the system still not locat hardware..

We are seeing that only the TX leds ion the PCIe are on the RX are off
when the system is not working
