Has this Plug-in been Developed??
Looking for a Plug-in that will trigger Samples in rea-time...in particular..Drum Samples.
There's got to be a better plug-in alternative to Sound Replacer. Currently, I am having to route the audio out of ProTools into drum machines and then bring the audio back into ProTools either audio/aux channels. Furthermore, there is slight delay that results that I have to deal with. |

Re: Has this Plug-in been Developed??
Well, at present, SoundReplacer is the way to go. It's an AudioSuite Plugin (offline process) and you can set (up to) three different thresholds for (up to) three different samples. Most of the time, I use it with one sample, but when there's time to tweak I'll go further. We don't have anything like "Drumagog" for ProTools, but you may be able to use it with the FXPansion RTAS to VST wrapper. Drumagog is real time (as far as I know), but there may be a fair bit of delay... For those of us from the old days of triggering with Forat, 480L, S-1000, D4, M5000, I'd say SoundReplacer beats the heck out of all of them..

Yes it's called Logic Pro with EXS-24 sampler. In logic you can trigger midi with audio. Then with your triggered midi track set up your sampler with diferent samples. Logic is amazing for this ultra fast you can solo the audio track and the triggered midi track and there is ZERO phasing.
