Loop playback not working?

I have loop playback and loop record active. I highlight the section I want looped the same way I did with the 001, but the track keeps playing straight past the end of the section. Anybody have any clues?

Setups - preferences - OPeration - Timeline Insertion Follows Playback must be toggled on.

I think the loop also has to be a certain length in order to loop play,I forget the length.Rail had that number lately in a post.

Its small - in the order of 500msec

Yes, but I don't think it will continue to play past the selection, instead it just stops.

Turn off any post roll (open the Transport Window to see if you have it enabled). Make sure your edit and timeline are linked (Shift+/).

It's still here. But it seems you can no longer select within a region and get the playback that you want. Simply go to Options>Dynamic Transport and enable it. A timeline then appears at the top of your edit page in your chosen view (bars/beats, min/sec etc.) Make your selection in this time line. Of course make sure "loop playback" is enable as well. Shift+Command+L or Option+click the play button. Hope this helps
