Default Copying, looping, or pasting Midi notes

I'm programming drums on a MIDI track and when I record a groove,
I want a fast way to select and copy two or so bars of the kick Drum ONLY notes (this step is that's easy) and drag them, loop, or copy and put them on the same track without messing up the high hat snare and tom parts on that track . Can someone recommend me a fast way of doing this?

One thing you can do is have a midi track for each drum. It will make the kind of editing you are talking about easier in some ways.. Otherwise, you will be trying to select using a box and then copying and pasting. I'm not sure, but I don't think Loop, Duplicate, or Repeat will work with just selected notes...

Click the pitch at which the kick is located on the Reference Keyboard.

Select the kick notes you want, then Alt+R or Option+R (PC or Mac) and type in the number of repeats you want.

That's what I was looking for... quick and easy

I'm new to Pro Tools 8...
Coming off of Cubase and going through the learning curve.
I know everything's possible if you just know the trick.
Started using Pro Tools 8 for a week or so ... Love it so far ... Thanks again !!!
