Like that quote really much..Im using Sonar the most (PT sometime only).. but using Digi hardware..love them till I got Digi 002 and now I know how suck it is.. one more time and it will be listed on ebay and reading lot of presonus stuff..

I'm sure its too late, but your Dell has only 1 hdd, and its only 16 MB cache. Your HP has a firewire drive for a second drive, but only 5400 rpm, and 7MB cache. At least,, you need two (2) Hdd's, should be both 7200 rpm with 32 MB cache, and best if both are internal. (Firewire is ok if its fast enough). Also, I quit useing a Pentium many years ago!!! TOOOOO slow!! Best bet is to build yourself a nice i7 machine, and as mentioned,,,, the correct PT's software for XP or W7!!

Sorry botfly, no fun with probs, and yet the best results around if you follow the info in the stickies (above),,,,,,,,,,,, Good luck with what ever you choose,, Mike

PS Any DAW will need two fast HDD's to record with any real sucess!! Check out their specs as well.

Real talk - real talk !

I took this last job to pay for the latest piece of gear. I don't have Apogee either - just trying to soften up the op hopefully he would realize that he really didn't spend that much on his non working gear !! If he wants pro gear he should step up and pay pro prices !!!
