Default Re: PT hangs on DAE Loaded

Don't know if this applies to you or not, but I also had the same issue.

Funny thing is this JUST started happening today, previously, PT loaded fine.
I did notice overnight some updates to XP were automatically installed. I uninstalled
Windows XP Hotfix KB932823-v3 and then PT loaded just fine.

Just go into Add remove programs, check the box that says 'Show Updates' . Find Windows XP Hotfix KB932823-v3 and uninstall it.

My machine is an AMD dual core, I suspect this has something to do with it, although it's hard say for sure...

I'm not sure if I should post a new topic, but I'm having this exact problem. Background: 002 running 7.4cs4 on xp home works fine. Bought a new laptop last week and installed this same setup. Installs fine, loads, runs plug-ins, goes through DAE then hits "DAE Loaded" and stops. Just sits. I've waited 10 minutes, and nothing.

Here is part of my sandra report:

Default Re: PT hangs on DAE Loaded

jt27, I didn't see the same update although I tried removing a different update from the 15th with no luck.

I will post the sandra report soon. Mine is a different situation than Scottbanger's. I've had the same set up working for years up until 2 weeks ago when I packed, moved to new apt, plugged in digi 001, and opened PT which is hanging at "DAE Loaded". That's it. I haven't changed/added anything since the time it worked.

I'm on a winxp pro, p4 3gig, abit motherboard (dunno model), digi 001, le 6.4. I hope that's enough info aside from the report but there's really not much to tell. It literally is a case of it worked and now it doesn't.

Thank you all for your responses so far.

i think you'd be best served starting your own thread while providing your SANDRA report. laptop makes it different than original poster.
