Default LE 7.4 and IE 9 compatibility

I know 7.4 is probably no longer the concern of many here however I am still using it (happily enough) and have a question regarding using it with Internet Explorer 9 installed on the same system.

I do know from experience that IE 8 is not compatible with 7.4. But does anyone out there know if it will work ok with IE 9? IE 7 is getting too limiting and I'd like to upgrade if possible.

Thanks for any help on this!

Make a drive image and give it a try(the drive image allows you to revert if IE9 is a disaster). Personally, if I had only one computer for everything, I would likely run dual boot, or swap hard drives(SATA drive cages make that really easy on a desktop machine) What OS are you running?

Hey Albee, thanks for the response. I suppose making a drive image wouldn't be a bad idea. I'll give it a try.

I'm running Vista Home Premium. I actually have lots of computers around but as I seldom have more than a 6 or 8 tracks in a session, I've not really had to worry about having a dedicated system or dual boot. Of course it would eliminate having questions like this if I did.

I suppose it's time to get a new system though anyway. Time to take advantage of 64 bit for PT as well as my daily graphics programs. Thanks again.
