MPC 2000 + Fast Track Pro + Pro Tools

Hey guys,

Gist:
MPC with sounds in it, connected to Fast track pro audio interface via stereo out of mpc (2 audio jacks) to the Mic/Instrument jacks in front of the audio interface. The Audio interface connected to the macbook OSX 10.7 via USB running pro tools 10. I have both instrument lines buttons pressed down volume is up. the signal lights on both sides are on but flicker a little bit. I/O settings?

What I want to do:
Play the sounds from my MPC into my pro tools as audio tracks and record.

Problem:
When I click the record enabled button to hear for signal or sound. No sound. No signal. What am I missing?

Please Help!!!!
