Default Mbox(v.1) LINE mode, how do i know when it is on 0dB

Hola,

I have the OLD M-Box (v.1) which still sounds and work perfecto.
I did buy a 2 channel "BETTER" preamp and i want to use the M-Box (in LINE mode) just as a AD/DA converter. I notice that moving the CONTROL POT (in LINE mode) changes the GAIN of the sound that comes from the PREAMP, but i don't know where (in the only "4 dots" indicators of the M-Box GAIN control) is the 0dB.

The MBox Geting Started Guide is vague about the use of the inserts, and is absolutely misleading about what they are. Since the insert comes post preamp, it provides an easy way to tap directly before the AD converter. Go buy yourself 2 insert cables. These have 1 TRS plug on one end, and 2 TS plugs on the other. Plug the TRS end into the insert jack on the MBox and use whichever plug on the other end that gets you signal into Pro Tools. Leave the other plug hanging as it is the out side from the MBox preamp. You can do this for both channels.
