Default Reached logical end of file -39

Bouncing to disk has been failing for us 50% of the time here. We have no issues if we bus the tracks out, but bouncing will result in an error that states "Could not complete the bounce because logical end of file was reached -39" The bounce goes all the way through, but will not write the file at the end.

Has anyone else seen this? It is an HD/TDM system runing OSX.

Thank You,

Giles Christenson

try to make a selection and bounce only that selection, there's usually a dialog box when you choose bounce. Make a selection, name it save it and reselect it before you choose bounce to disk. I usually make it 1.5 times longer than the RT60 on my longest reverb after the end of my fade, if I fade, so as to not make any clicking noises when it cuts off the bounce.

I forgot to mention:

This happens on multiple drives, on multiple projects. The machine is a dual 1.42ghz G4.

Are you running mixed drives, ie; SCSI, FIREWIRE & IDE? If you're running a session on SCSI or other, bounce to the same type Drive, SCSI or whatever.
