29.97 fps QT
Hi guys,
I usually work in PAL and my settings in PT are pretty simple 25 frames. Recently I received for the first time a 29.97 fps QT movie. In my session settings I can set the Time Code rate and time code 2 rate at 29.97 fps but the Feet+Frame Rate cannot. (There's only the 23.976, 24 and 25 fps) The result is that the Video track shows that the session it's not in sync.( In the video track under the blocks, frames pop up menu the frame indicator stays red). So, I need your help on this one. What should I do? All the best |

Re: 29.97 fps QT
Feet+Frames references film rates. It has no bearing on whether or not your session frame rate matches the frame rate Pro Tools thinks the video is. Have you looked at the movie properties in QuickTime player? What codec is the video? H.264 is not a frame based codec, and can often cause this behavior even when Pro Tools and Quicktime says the video is 29.97. If H.264, try converting to DV.

Re: 29.97 fps QT
Also, open the movie up in QT and get info, make sure it is actually 29.97.
