track height changes unpredictably
all of a sudden (or after something I did I'm not aware of ...), when I select a track or just click in it, it reduces its track height (while the track above it increases in height)
this is driving me crazy (every time I want to edit a track it first gets smaller, then I have to enlarge it, etc.) it's not a general occurrence - it only happens with one particular project, other projects behave normally any ideas why this is happening? thanks for any enlightenment! after more research: the playback is also affected somehow - it will not play back from where I click the cursor, but only from its last position I have checked project backup files - and all this happened after I imported an audio track recorded by someone else on another computer (a Mac, but this has never caused problems, I have imported many of his files for this project) - there must be some property imbedded in this track that changes some settings - can they be seen somewhere? changed? ignored?

Re: track height changes unpredictably
Think its called track focus - press E (toggle) or there is a button right under the editing tools.

Re: track height changes unpredictably
yes! thanks! that was it - how simple
but I am wondering - is this something that an imported track could change? or did I just hit the E key by mistake? by the way, nowhere in the manual seems there to be a reference to this (keyboard focus yes, but no track focus)

Re: track height changes unpredictably
IIRC look for Zoom Toggle.
Cheers,
